What Beckonly does

Beckonly is a directory of local Austin businesses (dental, veterinary, beauty, and wellness) that makes those businesses discoverable and bookable through AI agents such as Claude and ChatGPT via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Data we collect

  • Business listings — Name, address, phone, hours, services, and vertical. Publicly available information about local businesses. Business owners can claim and update their listing.
  • Booking requests — When a user submits a booking request (via the website or an AI agent), we collect: full name, email address, preferred appointment time, and optional notes. This data is stored in our database and forwarded to the business owner.
  • Account data — Business owners who claim a listing authenticate via email magic link. We store their email address and associate it with their claimed listings.

How we use data

  • Booking request data is used solely to connect the requester with the business owner. It is not sold or used for advertising.
  • Business listing data is used to answer queries from AI agents and website visitors.
  • We do not collect health information, financial data, or personal identifiers beyond name and email.

Data sharing

We share booking request details (name, email, preferred time, notes) with the business owner of the requested listing. We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — Database and authentication hosting (supabase.com)
  • Vercel — Application hosting (vercel.com)
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery (resend.com)

MCP / AI agent access

Our MCP endpoint (https://www.beckonly.com/api/mcp) is publicly accessible without authentication. It provides read access to business listing data and write access to create booking requests. No personal data from the AI agent conversation is logged beyond what is explicitly submitted in a booking request.

Data retention

Booking requests are retained until the business owner deletes them or the associated listing is removed. Business owner accounts and listing data are retained while the account is active. You may request deletion by emailing us.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at privacy@beckonly.com. We will respond within 30 days.
